GEtCoheSive

Governance Enhancement for Cohesive Societies

The GEtCoHeSive project develops inclusive governance practices and puts them into practice with the aim of better involving citizens in local and regional planning processes. The focus here is on cooperation between administrative authorities and vulnerable groups, with particular attention being paid to access to care services and environmental guidelines.

As part of this partnership, transnational strategies on the one hand and local action plans on the other are being drawn up and tested in four cities in the form of pilot projects in order to contribute to greater cohesion in society and improve people’s living conditions.

The project, which is funded by Interreg Central Europe, is being implemented in Vienna by the Urban Futures research platform of the University of Vienna in cooperation with Caritas Stadtteilarbeit and the City of Vienna.

Project period: April 2023 – April 2026
