The 2030 Agenda with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), adopted by the United Nations member stats in 2015, aims at supporting a global shift towards sustainability.
These goals are to be implemented globally, nationally, regionally, and locally. Cities play a crucial role in this endeavour. They are expected to become more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable (see SDG 11).
The USLL primarily gathers knowledge about the opportunities and challenges associated with implementing the SDGs at the urban level.
