Leonard Derle, BSc
Biography
Leonard Derle is interested in urban spaces and sustainable transformation processes. After completing his Bachelor’s degree in Geography at LMU Munich, he has been studying for a Master’s degree in Geography: Global Change and Sustainability at the University of Vienna since 2024, specializing in Socioeconomic Transitions. His focus is on sustainable and alternative development approaches as well as issues of social and climate justice in the local, regional and global context.
Since the winter semester 2025, he has been working for the Urban Studies working group as a tutor in the course “Urban Research to Practice: Science for Policy Hackathon” in cooperation with UniVie Innovation and the City of Vienna.
